Mu-fuck'n "Dust In The Wind" beyotches. There's a student discount for a Kansas show, seriously? If you are 50 years old and still in school, you should get in for free.

Jazz great, and voice of the super sexy, "Peel Me A Grape." The crowd literally whistles and howls during this song.

Mogwai

Post-rock gods. I agree with the masses that Mogwai puts on a rad live show, but people seem to like their performances WAY too much. They are fun live, yes, but they didn't crack my top 20 shows of 2011.

Polyphonic Spree

Former lead singer of cult classic alternative band Tripping Daisy, this band incorporates an army full of instrument playing vocalists wearing robes and other matching outfits. I rather enjoyed their show last time through Portland, even if I felt like I was at a suicide cult run by a religious freak.

Of Monsters and Men

Otherwise known as, "Hopefully there are enough Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros fans still around so we can make some money." Are they really too big for the Doug Fir? I might go just to see how small the crowd will be.
